Herbert "Herb" Lee McCamish, 87, of Lubbock was born November 10, 1929 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Lee and Ruby Hazel (Bowen) McCamish. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He married Ella Peters May 30, 1954 in Roswell, NM. He enjoyed traveling with his family. He worked as a production agronomist for a seed & chemical company and he also volunteered at Texas Baptist Retiree Builders. He was a member of Bacon Height Baptist Church.

Herb went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 19, 2017. His parents: Lee & Ruby McCamish and 2 Brothers: Byrd & Clark McCamish preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 63 years: Ella McCamish; 2 daughters: Mindy & husband Ruben Flores and Cindy & husband Alvin Williams; his brother: Frank McCamish and wife Shug of Muleshoe, sister: Barbara & husband Filmore Bilbrey of Bledsoe, TX; 3 Grandchildren: Monica Milam, Richard McGowen, & Michelle Stone; 6 great-grandchildren: Ella, Lilly, Molly & Carter Milam, Case, & Carly Stone.

Military graveside service will be at 10:00am Friday, July 21, 2017 at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Woodrow with Ruben Flores officiating. Burial is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to Bacon Heights Baptist Church Building Fund or to American Heart Association.
