Helen P. Shrimpton, 84, of Lubbock was born November 12, 1931 in Lubbock to Jesse Arthur Amburn and Pearl Edna (Boyd) Amburn. She married Donald S. Shrimpton on December 26, 1949 in Carlsbad, NM. He preceded her in death March 21, 1989. Helen loved her family, enjoyed bingo, watching westerns and playing with her babies and kids. She also liked to knit, crochet, work puzzles, and play games.

Helen went to be with the Lord Monday, March 14, 2016. Those waiting for her in Heaven are her husband, 2 grandchildren: Angie Shrimpton and Damon Gillman, a great-granddaughter: Aaron Gillman, a sister: Patsy Norton; 3 brothers: Billy Amburn, Arthur Amburn, and Terrie Farmer.

Those left to cherish her memories are her 3 sons: Donny and wife Darlene, Ronny, and Lonny Shrimpton and wife Lisa; 3 daughters: Betty Mason, Linda Gillman and husband Danny, and Carrie Cox and husband Zack; 13 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren; her sister: Vida Walker and half brother: Jerry Farmer.

The family will greet friends from 5 to 7pm Friday, March 18, 2016 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth. Services will be at 2:00pm Saturday, March 19, 2016 in the same chapel with Pastor Adam Pardue of Highland Baptist Church.
