Harvey Leon (H. L.) May Jr., 74, of Wolfforth, TX passed away November 26, 2020 in Lubbock, TX.  H.L. was born January 13, 1946 in Childress, TX to Leon and Mabel (Williams) May.  He graduated from Olton High School class of 1964.  He married Dwala Boone in Lubbock, TX on June 6, 1970 and celebrated 50 years of marriage this year.  H.L. was a life long telephone man working for Southwestern Bell from 1968 until he retired in 2000.  H.L. was always involved in his kids' activities.  He was a volunteer Soccer coach, Little League baseball coach, and Boy Scout leader.  While living in Shallowater he was a member of the volunteer Fire Dept.  He was a member of Sunset Church of Christ in Lubbock.

H.L. is survived by his wife Dwala of Wolfforth, his oldest son Chad and wife Melanie of Prosper, TX; his youngest son Lance and wife Melanie of Farmersville, TX; his 5 grandchildren Lindsey, Andy, Katie, Natalie, and Carson May.  He is also survived by his sisters Lonna Tweedy of Ft. Worth, Donna Green of Amarillo, and Kathy Baker of Raton, NM.  H.L. was preceded in death by his parents and sister Patsy.
