Obituary

Harold Wayne Fields, 54, of Shallowater was born December 9, 1970 in Delta, Colorado to Harry "Hal" Edward Fields and Mary Lou (Coleman) Fields.  He grew up in Delta, Colorado, graduating from Delta High School in 1989.  Shortly afterward he moved to the Gunnison/Crested Butte, Colorado, area where he lived for 20 years except for a short stint working on the Mojave Dessert.  He moved to Shallowater, Texas in 2009.

Most of his life Harold was self employed working in the construction industry.  Prior to that he worked for a short time at a gold mine, drove trash truck, worked briefly in the auto repair industry, and worked at a dairy.

He enjoyed being outdoors!  He spent his leisure time in outdoor activities as well.  He enjoyed hunting & fishing, as well as motor sports such as snowmobiling, four wheeling/dirt biking, or boating.  If camping was involved so much the better.  He was also passionate about outdoor cooking, whether using a grill, smoker, or cooking in the fire.  He enjoyed traveling and lived life to the fullest.  Harold enjoyed people and never met a stranger.

Harold passed away after a short illness on Monday, February 24, 2025.  His parents and 2 brothers preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife: Dawn Fields, 4 children: Adriana Fields & husband Adan Gonzalez, Cristina Black, Kevin Fields, and Kodi Fields & wife Grace Fields, his grandchildren: Ariana Gallegos, Jordan & Jonathan Jaimes, Xiomara & Angel Valdez, Luis Palomares, John & Trinity Fremgen, Timothy Black, Mason & Killian Fields, 3 sisters: Michele Crawford and husband Dale Crawford, Melissa Fields-Allgeyer & husband Wayne Allgeyer, and Phyllis Fields Conley & husband Dale Conley, nieces & nephew: Amy Hovorka, Chad Crawford & wife Trisha, & Megan Conley, great-nieces & great-nephews: Isaiah Hovorka, Caroline, Jason, Samantha, & Makayla Crawford.
