Guadalupe "Lupe" Martinez, 89, of Lubbock moved to her permanent home with Our Lord on Monday, January 2, 2017, where she joins her beloved husband, Pilar Martinez and two daughters Lupita and Patsy. Lupe leaves behind her 6 sons, Pilar, Jr., Frank, Ruben, and Roy all of Lubbock, Ralph and Robert of Carlsbad, N.M.; 4 daughters: Linda Mungia, Ester Avera, and Betsy Ovalle all of Lubbock and Kathy Lujan of El Paso, Tx; Two sisters, Dolores Vasquez and Juana Reyna; 36 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 1:00pm today, Jan. 4, 2017 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth with a Rosary beginning at 7:00pm. Mass will be at 10:00am Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 1120 52nd St. in Lubbock with Fr Martin Pina officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
