Obituary

Guadalupe (Ruby) Delgado Alcorta, went to meet her Lord and Savior on May 24th 2024, in peace surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Staples, Texas and was eight of nine siblings. She preceded in death by her parents Anastasio S. Delgado and Maria Ochoa Delgado, her son Michael Anthony Alcorta and grandson Michael Caine De la Rosa, her brothers Domingo, Antonio from Houston and Juan, Thomas, Merced of Lubbock, and sisters Teresa Macias and Juanita Martinez of Lubbock.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Conception Alcorta Jr., daughters; Patricia Novobilski, husband Matthew of Mission Viejo, California, Elizabeth Ann Nelson, husband Dexter of Schertz, Texas and Maria Victoria Jorissen, husband of David of Missouri City, Texas and her brother Ismael Delgado of Dallas. There are six grandchildren; Andrew Joseph and Aidan Patrick Novobilski, Adrian Cetus and wife Kendal, Alexandra Cierra Adams, Adalade Marie and Sophia Grace Jorissen.

She was an active member of Our Lady Of Grace Catholic Church for 50 years. She taught CCD for 12 years, a minister of communion and lector of the word, mediations for 25 years and 15 years of doing retreats for couples "Cristo Tu y Yo." A very devoted Catholic she was a member of The Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary. She grew up praying  the rosary everyday with her parents. She enjoyed sewing, dancing, singing, and fishing. Lupita always made sure each of her four children had a special homemade birthday cakes. The parishioners of Our Lady of Grace became her family. She will be greatly missed but heaven is rejoicing because she is home.

Viewing will be Wednesday, May 29th at Our Lady of Grace, from 6-8 pm followed by the rosary on Thursday, May 30th at, 6 for viewing and 7-8 rosary. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Rudy on Friday, May 31st at 10 am, internment to follow at Peaceful Gardens under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth, TX.

We invite you to join us in a celebration of life luncheon at Our Lady of Grace parish hall.
