August 13, 1939 – June 12, 2020
Gregory Sandobal, 80, of Lubbock was born August 13, 1939 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan to Ralph and Antonia (Perez) Sandobal. Gregory was a proud Army Veteran who was in the engineer battalion during the construction of the Berlin Wall in Germany during the cold war. He was a member of American Legion & a life member of the VFW. He worked at Texas Tech for 16 years.
Gregory went to be with the Lord, Friday, June 12, 2020. His parents: Ralph & Antonia Sandobal, a brother: Paul Sandobal, 2 sisters: Ester Torrez and Anna Marie Lopez, and his longtime companion: Rosita "Rosa" Guerrera all preceded him in death.
Those left to cherish his memories are his brother: Nicolas Sandobal, Sr. and his wife Evarista Sandobal, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private viewing from 10:00am until service time at 12:00pm. Services will be at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth with Chaplain Albert Wise, of Hospice of the South Plains officiating. Gregory will be laid to rest at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Cemetery in Wolfforth. Arrangements are under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
