Gregoria Yanis Orta, 85, of Lubbock was born March 12, 1935 in Lexington, Tx to Santos & Luisa (Rosas) Yanis.  She married Felix Orta, Sr. December 9, 1948 in Bryan, TX.  He passed away September 14, 2010 after 61 years of marriage. Her life revolved around the love of her family and her strong Catholic faith as a member and Crusillista of St. Patrick's Church.  She always enjoyed time spent with her children & grandchildren, especially when they gathered to play spanish bingo.

Gregoria went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 24, 2020.  Her parents, husband, son: Joel Orta, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, & 2 grandchildren all preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children: Luz Cuevas, Lorenza Flores, Benito Orta, Juana Martinez, Felix Orta, Jr., Frances White, Mary Lou Vasquez, Irene Vara, Johnny Orta, Valentina Orta, David Orta, Alice Guzman, Adam Orta, & Monica Orta, 36 grandchildren,  50 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, along with several nieces & nephews.

Rosary will be at 7:00pm Friday, December 11, 2020 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth.  Graveside services will be at 11:30am Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Resthaven Memorial Park under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.  Social distancing and masks are required at both services.  For those who cannot attend, a livestream will be posted on Wilsons' Funeral Directors in Wolfforth Facebook page.
