Glenn Morrison Vining, 92, of Lubbock was born May 14, 1928 in Chalk, Tx to Homer & Winnie (Creamer) Vining. He farmed north of Earth, Tx for 35 years before retiring in 1989. Glenn served on the Board of Directors at Earth Coop gin.  He was active in the Earth Jaycees, was a member of Dekalb's '200' Bushel Club & received Farmer of The Year Award in 1972.  He enjoyed playing guitar & jamming with friends at bluegrass festivals.  Glenn also enjoyed fishing, hunting, & camping.  Glenn married Judy Millard July 15, 1948 and enjoyed being with his wife, kids, the grandkids & the great-grandkids. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran.

Glenn went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 7, 2020.  His parents & 4 sisters preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 72 years, Judy Vining, 3 children: Jo Webb (Roy), Brian Dell Vining (Joan), & Gil Vining (Martha); 6 Grandkids, 7 Great-Grandkids, & 2 sisters: Ava Mae Cox and Jean DuLaney.

Services will be 2:00pm Friday October 9, 2020 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth with Charles Findley officiating.  Entombment will follow in Wilsons' Funeral Directors Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
