Francisca Coronado Duarte Contreras, 87, of Lubbock was born July 18, 1937 in Waco, TX to Jesus & Eudelia (Gonzalez) Coronado.  She married Santiago "Jimmy" Contreras April 2, 2007 in Lubbock.  He passed away November 22, 2015.  Francisca was a great seamstress and would make her kids clothes or alter them.  She could take a car apart and fix it, whether it was transmission or brakes, she could fix it.  She was a strong woman and would foster kids in need.  She had a big heart.

Francisca went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 20, 2024.  Her parents, husband, son: Juan Daniel Duarte (2-5-2020), daughter: Josephina Gonzales, 2 grandsons: Michael Duarte & Jayson Garcia, and a great-granddaughter: Sirena were all waiting at Heaven's gate for her.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children: Daniel San Juan Duarte, David Duarte & wife Laura, Irlene Landin & husband Richard, Dianne Duarte & husband Joel Almanza, Isaias Duarte & wife Betty, & Jesus Miguel Duarte, 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers: Guadalupe Coronado, & Jesus Coronado, Jr., 3 sisters: Oralia Lopez, Janie G. Coronado, & Delia Romero, along with several nieces & nephews and great-nieces & nephews.

Memorial services will be at 2:00pm Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the Maranatha Church of the Living God at 4313 Ave D in Lubbock with Pastor Elias Garcia officiating.  Cremation is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
