Felipa "Lipa" Salazar, 94, of Lubbock was born May 26, 1920 in Lomioso Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Clemente and Aurelia (Hernandez) Cortez. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, crafts and reading her bible. She was a member of Iglesia Bautista El Calvario.

Lipa passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014. Her parents, husbands: Joe Salazar and Luis Martinez, her children: Nina Pena, Luis and Jesse Martinez, 3 grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memories are her 4 sons: Manuel, Gilbert (Connie), Fred (Maria) and Jimmy Martinez; 3 Daughters: Eva (Richard) Parras, Lilly Zapata, and Ema Martinez; 31 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren, 75 great-great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-great-grandchildren.

Prayer services will be at 7pm Wednesday Oct. 8, 2014 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel. Services will be at 10:00am Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014 in the same chapel with Pastor Julio Trevino officiating.
