Essie Esther Mills, 86, of Lubbock was born February 9, 1922 in Keechi, Texas to the late James and Alta Lee (Mullaneax) Prestidge. She graduated from Corsicana State Orphans Home in 1939. She married Bill Mills October 17, 1940 in Austin. He passed away November 27, 2000. Four brothers also preceded her in death.
Esther passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008.
She is survived by her son: Bill Mills and wife Debbie, her daughter: Melinda Walker; and two grandsons: Jerod and Rhett Walker
The family will greet friends from 5pm to 7pm today at Wilsons' Funeral Directors in Wolfforth. Graveside services will be at 10:00am Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Wolfforth Cemetery with Randy Hamilton, Chaplain for Vista Care Hospice officiating.
