Ernestine Inez Gregg, 81, of Lubbock was born Dec. 26, 1926 in Silverton, TX to the late Virgil Lee & Annie O'Vela (Hooper) Welch. She married S.F. Gregg Oct. 9, 1943 in Seymour, TX. He passed away Dec. 19, 1993. A brother and two sisters preceded her in death. She was a charter member of Oakwood Baptist Church.
She went home to be with the Lord, peacefully, August 18, 2008.
Ernestine is survived by her son: Frank (Gayla) Gregg of Lubbock; two daughters: Trixie (Mike) Jones of Amarillo and Carolyn (Steve) Hacker of Euless; one brother-in-law: Bill Knox of Chico, TX; 2 sisters: Pat Chapman of Lone Oak, TX and Maida Lee Weaver of Amarillo, TX; 9 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7pm Friday at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth. Celebration of her life will be at 11:00am Saturday, August 23, 2008 in the same chapel with Rev. Woody Jackson of Oakwood Baptist Church officiating. Entombment will be in Wilsons' Funeral Directors Cemetery.
