Eleanor Bennett, 99, of Wolfforth was born November 25, 1915 in Lone Oak, Texas to Jim and Kathryn (Payne) Bailey. She married J Weldon Bennett June 3, 1950 in Wolfforth. He passed away June 28, 1996 after 46 years of marriage. Eleanor received a masters degree from Texas Tech and began her teaching career. She touched many lives throughout her 42 years of teaching at Frenship Schools. She was a member of the TSTA, NEA, and was a founding member of the Wolfforth United Methodist Church.

Eleanor went to be with the Lord and her family Thursday, October 15, 2015. Her parents, husband, and sister Kathryn Czerwiec all preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memories are her niece: Carol Daniel and husband Edward; nephews: Robert and Billy Carnes; great nephew and neice: Scott Daniel and Stacy Mullen and husband Marty; and a great-great-nephew: Drew Mullen.

Services will be at 2:00pm Monday, October 19, 2015 at the Wolfforth's First United Methodist Church with Pastor Rich Jones and Pastor Doug Kirk officiating. Entombment will follow at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Cemetery in Wolfforth. The family suggest memorials be sent to Wolfforth's First United Methodist Church.
