Eduardo "Edward" S. Martinez, 82, of Lubbock was born October 30, 1930 in Poth, TX to the late Jose and Maria (Sanchez) Martinez. He married Pauline Pena, Jan. 30, 1955 in Floresville, TX.


Edward went to be with the Lord Friday, Oct. 4, 2013.


Those left to cherish his memories are his wife: Pauline Martinez; 7 children: Benny Martinez, Leticia and Jeff Avera, Edward Martinez, Jr. and Elizabeth, Elisa and Sammy Sherman, Edwina and Noel Medrano, Irma and Stephen Richey, and George and Nicole Martinez; 14 grandchildren: Anthony, Jennifer, Esrael, Nicole, J.D., Jordan, Desirea, Miranda, Reagan, Christopher, Alexus, Briana, Alida. & Madeline; 3 great-grandchildren: Chloe, Mario, & Hanna; and a brother: Gregory and Lucia Martinez.


Prayer services will be at 6:00pm Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth. Services will be at 10:00am Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013 at Emmanuel Worship at 1102 70th St. in Lubbock. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
