Dorothy "Dottie" Marie Smith, 71, of Wolfforth was born May 28, 1952 in El Paso, Texas to Marshall Lee Duke and Edith Louise (Ford) Duke.  She worked as a bookkeeper.  She married Walter Leroy Smith June 16, 1981 in Big Spring, Texas.  He passed away September 30, 2007.  Dottie enjoyed being with her family, her roses, displaying her crosses & Angels, and she was proud of her truck.

Dottie went to be with the Lord Tuesday August 15, 2023.  Her parents and her husband were waiting at Heaven's gates to welcome her home.

Those left to cherish her memories are her son: Trent Bailey and her daughter: Shelly Smith, her 2 step-sons: Larry & David Smith, 8 grandchildren: Mckayla Lackey, Neleah, Iris, Tara, Star, Devon Currin, & Tanner Currin, & Kade, & 2 great-grandchildren: Kayclee & Ezra.

Graveside services will be at 2:00pm Monday September 25, 2023 at the Wolfforth Cemetery.   Cremation is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
