Dorothy Jean Hewlett, 83, of Ropesville was born August 5, 1938 in Demming, New Mexico to James Hillhouse, Sr. and Bessie Williamson-Salmon.  She married George Shepard. They together had eight children.   She later married Glenn P. Hewlett. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family, gardening, crocheting and raising chihuahuas.  Dorothy was such a hard worker.

Dorothy passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021.  Her parents, husband George, husband Glenn, her son Bobby Joe, and 3 brothers: James "Zeke" Hillhouse, Jr., and Edgar Lee Hillhouse & John Hillhouse all preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her memories are her 7 children:  Greg Shepard, Glen Shepard, Ronald Shepard, Gary Shepard, Reba Shepard, Audrey Garrett, and George Shepard, a sister: Lillie Young, and several grandchildren & great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren.

Viewing will begin at 12:00pm noon on Friday at Wilsons' Funeral Directors in Wolfforth.  Graveside services will be at 2:00pm at the Wolfforth Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
