Dalia "Dolly" Adkins, 65, of Lubbock was born November 23, 1958 in Lubbock to Manuel and Teresa (Magana) Hernandez.  She married the true love of her life, David Brent Adkins, on April 1, 2000 in Wolfforth.  He preceded her in death on October 31, 2020.  Dolly was very creative and had a passion for the arts. She wrote plays, skits, played the guitar, piano, congas, and was an amazing singer.  Together, she and Brent played music beautifully. She also enjoyed reading and jigsaw puzzles.  Dolly loved the Lord and was a strong prayer warrior. Never one to shy away from the gospel, she ministered and prayed for anyone in need.  She had a ministry called "Daughters of The Most High King" which was something she was very proud of. Dolly was loved by all. She had a gift of making everyone feel like they were her best friend, even those she had just met.

Dolly went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 21, 2024.  Her parents and her husband, Brent, were waiting at Heaven's Gate for her.

Those left to cherish her memories are her 6 children: Felicia, Alfredo, Dominique, & Rex and Erica Gonzales, Frankie Hernandez, & Jade and Jason Melton, 12 grandchildren: Rickey, Jonathon, Avery, Giovanni, D'Angelo, Zion, Dorian, Zachary, J'Ray, Cainan, Acire, & Bryce, 2 great grandchildren: Vincent, and Lorelei. 3 Siblings: Gerry, Rick, and Dina Hernandez, 8 nieces & nephews, along with a host of friends. Her niece Sara Hill proceeded her in death

Visitation will begin at 10:00am Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Rock City, 5833 4th St. in Lubbock with the services beginning at 2:00pm with Pastor Jeff McCreight officiating.  Services and cremation are under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors & Cemetery of Wolfforth, TX.
