Dale Edwin Benton, 49, of Lubbock was born December 12, 1962 in Midwest City, Oklahoma to Russell Edwin Benton and Eiko (Yamamoto) Benton. He graduated from Coronado High School in 1981 and attended Texas Tech University. He was a manager at El Chicos Restaurant for over 25 years. He was a wonderful son to Russell and Eiko and a wonderful friend to Charles and Diane Leatherwood. Dale would have turned 50 on 12- 12- 2012.

Dale went to be with the Lord Friday, November 9, 2012. His father, Russell preceded him in death on July 13, 1997 and his grandmother: Mavis Benton on January 8, 2004.

Dale enjoyed taking care of his mother and watching Nascar races. When he was not working, Dale liked to go camping. His mother: Eiko and close friends Charles and Diane will truly miss him.

Services will be scheduled at a later date. Cremation services are under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
