Connie H. Diaz, 93, of Lubbock was born December 8, 1923 in Berclair, TX to the late Fortunato and Edelmira (Delgado) Hernandez. She married Juan Diaz, Jr. Jan. 23, 1956 in Lubbock. He passed away Dec. 27, 1997. She retired from Texas Instruments in 1990. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her son, Alvin, spending time with family, and special times with her great-granddaughter Nadia Martinez.
She was a member of Rock City Church.

Connie went to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 26, 2017. Her son: Alvin Diaz preceded her in death, Nov. 11, 2016, and a sister: Ruth passed away in 1973.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter: Alice Lozada and husband Ray, her son, Johnny Diaz and wife Almeda, 5 grandchildren: Marvin Diaz, Joseph Chavez, Janelle Herrera, April Gonzales, & Billy Diaz; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters: Mamie Hernandez, Ella Martinez, Naomi Pope, and Irene Cohn, and 5 brothers: Fortunato, Tom, Ruben, Larry, and Ronnie Ruben Hernandez.

Viewing will be from 5 to 7pm Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Rock City Event Center at 5911 4th St. Lubbock. Services will be at 2:00pm Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Event Center with Pastor Jeff McCreight officiating. Burial will follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth
