Concepcion (Concha) Hernandez passed away to eternal life on June 27, 2015 at the age of 89. She was born to Dolores Cardenas and Felipe Perez May 13, 1926 in Woodsboro, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband Manuel S. Hernandez, Sr. of 54 years, a son: Jose Luis, her parents, her brothers: Santos, Juan, Blas, David, and Felix and her sister Herlinda Flores Perez.

Surviving are her children: Manuel Daniel (Katy), Pascual (Adel), Mary Lou (E.O. Ramirez), Juanita, Olga (John Bures) and Joe Hernandez.

Concha has been God's blessing to all she knew. She was an exceptional wife, mother, friend, and grandmother. She has 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great Grandchildren.

She was a woman of prayer and great faith. She served in the church and to the sick as a minister of communion, was a Cursillista, and she gave her time, talent, and treasure generously in her parish, Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She was blessed with a sense of humor, a generous heart, and worked hard all her life. She has inspired others to the joy of giving of self and sharing what she had with all whom she encountered. We return her to the Father with the love and joy that we received from her in our life. Thank you God for her life, may this great faithful servant rest in peace with you as you welcome her into your glory.


Rosary will be at 7:00pm Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Lubbock. Mass will be at 2:00pm Monday, June 29, 2015 in the same church.
