Charles Allen Thomas, of Slaton, was born June 5, 1937 in Lubbock, Texas to the late Andy and Geraldine (Hensley) Thomas. He graduated from Monterey High School. He married JoAnn Brown, March 15, 1975 in Lubbock, TX. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Quaker Ave. Church of God. He retired from truck driving for Merchants Motorlines after 30 years.

Charles passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009.

He is survived by his wife: JoAnn of Slaton; 4 Daughters: Rae Wright of Indiana, Terrie Wilson of Lubbock, Lesa Anthony of Idalou, and Rosanne Dorsey of Lorenzo; 3 Sons: Chuck Thomas of Tennesee, Mark McCall and Johnny Foster both of Lubbock; 2 brothers: Jerry Thomas of Sundown and Norvell Obrien of Lubbock; 20 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren

The family will greet friends from 5 to 7pm Thursday at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth.

Services will be at 11:00am Friday, October 9, 2009 in the same chapel with Brother Steve Bohannon officiating.

Burial with Masonic Rites will be in the Englewood Cemetery in Slaton under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
