Charles "Chuck" Glen Baker, 70, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Chuck was born on October 14, 1955, in Childress, Texas, to Charles Ray and Joan (Wrinkle) Baker. He was raised in Childress, graduated from Childress High School, and continued his education at Texas Tech University before returning to Childress to support the family business.
On November 24, 1982, Chuck married Toni Elem in Childress, and together they shared 43 years of marriage. In 2012, they moved with their family to Lubbock, where they continued to make new memories and build a life together.
Chuck built a long career as a general contractor with Childress Construction and served as the West Texas Sales Manager for Silvercote in Lubbock. He was dedicated to his work and took pride in the craftsmanship and quality of the projects he completed. He enjoyed building and tinkering with anything mechanical or in need of repair. He also loved riding his bicycle and was committed to regular workouts and staying active.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Toni Baker; his son, Chase Baker; his daughter, Maci Baker; his sisters, Linda Ainsworth of Rochester, Minnesota, and Connie Inman and her husband, Bruce, of Childress; his nieces and nephews; along with his fur-buddy; Vinny.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Ray and Joan Baker.
No services are planned at this time. Cremation is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
