Cecil Adam Terrell, 94, of Midland was born December 7, 1914 in Slaton, TX to Nathaniel A. and Una Lee (Finley) Terrell. He graduated from Lubbock High School and attended Texas Tech and Saint Paul Bible College. He married Elwanda Willingham June 2, 1945 in Lubbock. She passed away January 2, 2009. He worked as a printer at Lubbock's Hesters Office Supply and Thatcher's Printing. He was an Elder Emeritus of the First Presbyterian Church in which he had been a member since 1965. He also taught Bible classes He was a wonderful story teller and an avid Red Raider Fan.
Cecil passed away Sunday, May 10, 2009 in Midland. His brother, Byron Terrell and his sister, LaVerne Glen preceded him in death.
Those left to cherish his memories are his 3 sons: Rodney and wife Sandra Terrell of Forney, Mike and wife Betty Terrell of Midland, and Nathaniel "Nat" and wife Sandy Terrell of Lubbock; 7 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7pm Tuesday at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel. Memorial services will be at 11:30am Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church at 3814 130th St. in Lubbock with Pastor Bob Field officiating.
The family would like to give special thanks to all the wonderful people at Midland Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit on the 3rd Floor.
