Carl Calvin Hall, 89, of Wolfforth was born July 20, 1920 in Bowie, TX to William Calvin and Gertrude Samantha (McCalip) Hall. He worked as a farmer and a carpenter. He was a member of Carpenter Union. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy.

He eloped to marry the love of his life, Dorothy Cantrell on Dec. 2, 1939 in Muleshoe, TX. They attended Trinity Church for 25 years.

Carl passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 70 years: Dorothy Hall; his children: Shirley (Donald) Gilmore, Ronnie (Donna) Hall and Nancy Burkhart all of Wolfforth, Garland (Kathy) Hall of Woodland, CA, Lisa (Glenn) Nall of Wolfforth, and Lori (Andrew) Kelley of South Coast Metro, CA; 16 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren and his sister Lou Bliss of Bartlesville, OK.

The family will greet friends from 7 to 9pm Sunday May 30, 2010 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth. Celebration of life services will be at 10:30am Monday, May, 31, 2010 at Faith Baptist Church at 6002 66th St. in Lubbock with Pastor T.L. Garrett of Trinity Church officiating. Military graveside services will follow at Castro Memorial Garden in Dimmitt, TX. Services are under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors in Wolfforth.
