Bert I. Challenor's Obituary
Bert I. Challenor, 79, of Wolfforth was born November 15, 1929 in New York, NY. He was a Korean War Veteran of the Army and Air Force and served on the front line as a Combat Medic. He married Dora, September 3, 1955 in New York. He retired from Bernalillo County Health Dept. as a health inspector in Albuquerque. Bert wrote music, played the guitar & was a professional singer.
Bert passed away Saturday, April 18, 2009 in Lubbock.
He is survived by his wife: Dora of Wolfforth, his son: Bert A. Challenor of Longmont, CO, his daughter: Nora and husband Larry Tuttle of Hobbs, NM; 2 Grandchildren: Alan and wife Rachel Tuttle and Karen and husband Brandon Standefer, 1 Great-Grandson: Keith Standefer; and 1 sister: Katherine Percival of Tennessee.
