Benito "Benny" Martinez, 64 of Lubbock was born February 2, 1956 in Floresville, TX to Edwardo & Pauline (Pena) Martinez.  He was a Veteran of the United States Army and then joined the National Guards for 6 years.

Benny went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 4, 2020. His father, Edwardo Martinez passed away Oct. 4, 2013, and his sister: Irma Richey passed away Jan. 29, 2020.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mother: Pauline Martinez, his son: Esreal Lee Martinez, 3 sisters: Leticia Avera (Jeff), Elisa Sherman (Sammy), Edwina Medrano (Noel), 2 brothers: Edward Martinez, Jr. (Elizabeth), & George Martinez (Nicole),  a brother-in-law:Stephen Richey, 14 nieces & nephews, and 3 great-nieces & great-nephews.

Viewing will be from 7 to 8pm Friday, August 7, 2020 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel.  Graveside services will be at 10:00am Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park with  Pastor George Martinez of Community Life Church, Louisville, Tx officiating.  Services are under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
