Ben Wesley Evans, 57, of Lubbock was born July 21, 1962 in Olton, TX to Jim and Geraldine "Gerry" (Snow) Evans. Ben graduated from Plainview High School and attended Texas Tech. He married Cheryl Tucker December 15, 1989 in Las Vegas, NV. He started his career with Lubbock Fire Rescue on May 30, 1989 at station 16 and was currently employed as a Battalion 3-B-Shift Chief. Ben enjoyed skiing, vacationing at the beach, playing golf, his guitar, and cooking. He was a great husband and dad. He will be greatly missed.

Ben passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019. His father, Jim Evans preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Cheryl Evans, 2 children: Mason Heart Slater and Nicole Ann Evans, his mother: Geraldine "Gerry" Evans, 3 siblings: Cindy Burnett, Jesse Evans and wife Mari, and Tracy Strates, along with 7 nieces, nephews & a host of friends.

Services will be at 11:00am Saturday, September 21, 2019 in Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth with Harris Evans officiating. Cremation is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
