Our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Barbara Gutierrez, 89 went home with our heavenly Lord on Tuesday, August 18, 2009. Barbara was born January 27, 1920 in Yeso, New Mexico to the late A.R and Isidora Luna. She married Manuel Gutierrez Sr. in Ft. Sumner, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her husband, two sisters Cantaria Martinez and Virginia Vasquez, and a brother Manuel Luna.

She leaves behind two brothers, Jimmy Luna of Houston and Thomas Luna of Oklahoma, and one sister Lupe Walker of Hawaii. She is survived by 5 sons Manuel Jr., Raymundo, Ezekiel, Pete, Richard, and 5 daughters Elsa Bone, Mary Gutierrez, Delia Caudillo, Dolores Ortiz, and Diane Bustillos. She has numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She will forever be remembered for her Tortillas and her beautiful hand-made quilts. She loved spending time in her flower garden and was a witty lady with a large heart for helping others.

Rosary will be held Friday at 7:00 pm at St. John Neumann. Mass will be Saturday at 10:00am at St John Neumann. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth. Flowers and condolences can be sent to St John Neumann.
