Barbara Farley Chalmers, 92, of Lubbock was born November 13, 1930 in Wheeler County, TX to the late D. Harrison Farley & Lula Mae (Irons) Farley. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1949. Barbara married Kenneth F. Chalmers in 1950, and they lived in San Antonio, TX where they owned & operated Acme Rents for many years. They moved to Lubbock in 2003 to be close to family & were members of the First United Methodist Church. Kenneth preceded her in death in 2015.

Barbara went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

Those left to cherish her memories are her 3 children: Douglas Chalmers (and Mary Frances Agnello) of Schulenburg, TX, Cynthia Chalmers Davis (and Pitts Davis) of Lubbock, & Rose Chalmers White (and Jeffrey White) of Llano, TX, 3 grandchildren: Sarah Davis Hite (and Richard Blair) of Austin, TX, Elizabeth White Patton (and C.J. Patton) of Plano, TX, & Caitlin Linden of Los Angeles, CA, 4 great-grandchildren: Laura Joiner, Jennifer Joiner, Elaina Hite & Tamryn Hite all of Lubbock, 2 great-great-grandchildren: Melody and Jinora Robbins of Lubbock, 3 siblings: Sharon Camp Clifton of Hawkins, TX, Stephen Camp (and Ruth Camp) of Raleigh, NC, & Candace Camp (and Pete Hopcus) of Austin, TX

The family suggest in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Friends of Music Program at the First United Methodist Church.

Cremation is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.  Burial of Barbara & Kenneth's ashes will be at a later date in the Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler, Texas.
