Anita M. Carranco, 88, of Lubbock was born June 20, 1932 in Cameron, TX to Jose & Florencia (Caballero) Martinez. She married Salvador Carranco Nov. 12, 1954, he passed away Dec. 23, 2013. She was a homemaker and volunteered at the Food Bank. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, & great grandmother.
Anita went to be with the Lord Sunday, October 18, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: Raul & his wife Teresa, daughter-in-law: Yolanda Carranco; 4 siblings: Sara Aguirre, Santos, Benny, & Margarito Martinez.
Those left to cherish her memories are her son: Albert Carranco, 7 grandchildren: Steven Salas, Rebecca Martinez, Leticia Granado, Michael, Vallery, LeRoy, & Ayla Carranco; several great-grandchildren; 4 brothers: Genaro, Joe, Eulalio, & Johnny Martinez; & 3 sisters: Mary Falcon, Lucia Fuentes, & Rebecca Davis; along with numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews & great-neices who loved her so much.
Viewing will begin at 10:00am Friday, October 23, 2020 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rosary beginning at 7:00pm. Mass will be at 10:00am Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1120 52 nd St. in Lubbock, TX with Rev. Martin Pina officiating. Burial will follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
In support of the health of her family, face coverings are mandatory while attending the services, along with social distancing.
