Amparo S. Garza, 78, of Wolfforth, was born on February 13, 1937 to Raul & Marcelina Singleterry. She was 1 out of 18 children She worked on the cotton farm with her husband and sewed her children's clothes. She enjoyed going to the Kingdom Hall and enjoyed her family. She married Ramon G. Garza June 25, 1958 in Lubbock. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and a very special mother and grandmother & great-grandmother.

Amparo passed away Friday, January 29, 2016.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years: Ramon G. Garza (March 16, 2009), and her son: Joel Garza (April 11, 2013). Her brothers and sisters also preceded her in death: Andrew, Ruben, & Rolando Singleterry, Elvira Beggs & Rosie Walls and Rachel Gomez.


Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters: Sylvia and husband Jesus Tirado of Lubbock and Deborah Garza of Wolfforth; her son: Daniel & wife Mishalle Garza; 1 grandson: Adam & wife Elise Tirado; 3 granddaughters: Crystal(Christopher Lee), Karin Tirado and Abigail Garza; 2 great-granddaughters: Amberlynn Camille Tirado, Chloe Isabel Lee; her great-grandson: Keagan Michael Lee; brothers:, David, Raul, Raymond, Baldomero, Louis, Armando, Paul, and Ramiro Singleterry; Sisters: Thelma Fishback, Mary Ann Hernandez, and Hope Zarate along with several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 4:00pm Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall at 2520 80th St., Lubbock, TX 79423 with Alan Eisenhour officiating. Cremation is under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
