Alvin Ray Diaz, 52 of Lubbock was born February 5, 1964 in Lubbock to Juan Diaz, Jr. and Connie Diaz. He loved being around family and friends.

Alvin went to be with the Lord Friday, November 11, 2016. His father preceded him in death Dec. 27, 1997.

Those left to cherish his memories are his beloved mother, Connie Diaz; his brother, Johnny Diaz and wife Almeda; his sister, Alice Lozada and husband Ray; 2 nieces, April Gonzales and Janelle Herrera; and 3 nephews, Marvin Diaz, Joseph Chavez, and Billy Diaz.

The family will greet friends from 5 to 7pm Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 at Rock City Event Center, 5911 4th St. in Lubbock. Services will be at 10:00am Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at the Rock City Event Center with Pastor Jeff McCreight officiating. Burial will follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth. The family would like to give a special thanks to Alvin's caregiver, Grace Gonzales.
