Alfred "Freddie" Velez, 33, of Levelland, was born May 18, 1983 in Lubbock to George Velez and Elma Torrez. He married Amanda Velez May 12, 2010 in Levelland. He worked for Norton Energy Drilling for 4 years. He was a devoted husband and father who loved spending time with them. He loved to watch movies, kid around, and enjoy his motorcycle.

Freddie went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 31, 2016. His father, George preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife: Amanda Velez; 4 precious children: Abriana Garcia, Karlee Rosales, Eli Velez, and Eliana Velez; his mother: Elma Velez; his mother and father-in-law: Teresa Gerhard and Manuel Rendon; father-in-law: Albert Guerrero; 5 brothers: George, Eloy, Zeke, and Stevie Velez, and Samuel Longoria; 4 brother-in-laws: Alfred Flores, Ricky Martinez, AJ and Mickey Guerrero; 4 sisters: Corina, Raquel, Irene and Lisa Velez; sister-in-law: Latresa Guerrero, and numerous extended family and friends.

The family will greet friends from 5 to 7pm Monday, Sept. 5, 2016 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth. Services will be at 11:00am Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016 at South Plains Church, 1421 Cactus Dr. in Levelland with Bro. Doug Riddle officiating.
