Rosary for Alberto B. Martinez, Sr. 82, of Ropesville will be at 7:00pm today, Friday, Aug. 7, 2009 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Saturday in the same chapel with burial in the Smyer Cemetery.

Alberto passed away Thursday, August 6, 2009.

Alberto was born January 2, 1927 in Lopeno, Texas to the late Manuel & Maria (Mejia) Martinez. He married Angelica Flores April 2, 1955. She passed away Oct. 16, 2002. He loved to play the guitar, play cards, gardening & raising cattle & goats. He is preceded in death by a sister: Otilla M. Lopez.

He is survived by 4 sons: Alberto, Jr. and wife Mary Ann, Norberto and wife Susan, Joe and wife Christina, and Leo and wife Veronica; 12 Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Brothers: Gumaro & Alfredo Martinez; 2 sisters: Genoveva M. Hernandez and Zoila M. Gonzalez.
