Adela Chapa Santos, 90, of Lubbock was born September 5, 1932 in Mercedes, TX to Genovevo & Hilara (Garza) Chapa.  She married Andrew R. Santos January 10, 1951 in Lubbock.  He passed away March 5, 2008.  Adela enjoyed cooking, baking, and taking care of kids.  Even the neighborhood kids loved her.

Adela went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 22, 2023.  Her parents, husband, 3 brothers: Gilbert & Severo Gonzalez, & Ben Chapa, and her son-in-law: Oscar H. Gonzalez all were waiting at Heaven's gate for her.

Those left to cherish her memories are her 3 daughters: Ester Caballero, Frances (David) Camacho, and Hillary "Lally" Gonzalez and her son: Andrew Santos, Jr. (Janie P. Torrez), 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Viewing will be at Iglesia De Cristo at 501 N. MLK Blvd. in Lubbock starting at 10:00am. Monday, June 26, 2023.  Celebration of Adela's life will begin at 11:00am Monday, June 26, 2023 with Alfredo Pineda officiating.  Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.

Pallbearers will be Lloyd Caballero, Jr., Michael Caballero, Zachery Caballero, David Camacho, Jr., Josh Camacho, Sr., Paul J. Sanchez, Jermiah D. Gonzalez, Andrew Matthew Santos III, Cindy Molina, & Maricella Guzman
